Transform Together, Thrive Forever

A little bit about Blair Mills

I'm Blair Mills, a native of New York, who has relocated to South Carolina to be closer to my grandparents who are both in their early 80s. My full-time job is a supervisor at a revenue cycle management company. I never thought I'd be living in South Carolina or be a personal trainer but life has a funny way of revealing your path. I found my path through grief.

I lost my step dad in 2011 to cardiac arrest, my father to numerous illnesses with the worst being a brain aneurism in 2022, and my grandmother's chronic health issues have caused their fair share of scares for my family. Initially my family couldn't understand my enthusiasm for fitness or why I went vegan for a year. I wanted to be healthy and not fear for what I would be diagnosed with in my latter years.

I graduated high school at 190+ pounds with a desire for one thing, a flat stomach. But, after years of trial and error, I discovered how to train correctly to achieve the results I desired. And I didn't just want a flat stomach. I wanted to be able to keep a healthy blood pressure (120/80), have a strong heart, help my grandma walk or get off the floor without having to call 911 for assistance. So a year ago, I made a commitment to be consistent. Now it's a lifestyle.

While working out, many people asked if I offered personal training services and I believe in signs. People saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. They saw someone working out, having fun, and treating the gym as their personal playground. After a conversation with my Jamaican grandma, she suggested that we are all given gifts and we should share those gifts with others. Someone else who believed in me suggested I take the next step by entering the NASM CPT and CNC program.  So I did. And while this program is all-inclusive, much of the information I'd already learned on my journey. But now, I will have the credentials to back my education and experience. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Work and have previously worked alongside clients in difficult situations and helped them get back on their feet. However, my love for fitness is evident when I speak to others, when I work out with my family during vacations, and when I consistently research the benefits of different foods and supplements to assist myself and others in reaching their goals. I came a long way from the 190+ pound high school graduate that like most people just went to the gym and got on the treadmill with no incline. My grandfather CJ Way, is a year younger than my grandmother but his active lifestyle by doing yard work, tending to his garden, and eating from his own garden have lead to less sick days and a fuller life than most his age.

Whether you're a gym goer like me or prefer being outside in nature like my grandfather, MillsWay fitness eliminates ambiguity by providing a clear path to achieving your goals. Nothing is impossible. If you commit to this change, you will grow in more ways than you ever imagined.

Fitness is My Passion, Your success is my goal

I could talk about the benefits of fitness for hours, but let me sum it up in six words: Live Your Life to the Fullest! To truly embrace life, it's essential to care of your body. Having grown up in a family with chronic illnesses my fear of these conditions motivated me to lead a healthier, balanced, and active lifestyle. Now, my goal is to inspire others to make mindful health choices that promote longevity and avoid risks of an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle. In a world where fast food is abundant and instant gratification is common, it's tempting to seek quick fixes like surgery. However, these solutions don't improve the function of our internal organs, build muscle, or enhance the health of our most vital organ, the heart. I’m passionate about fitness because I aim to be the best version of myself, and I want to help others achieve their best selves too.
